The above link takes us to a scary event unfolding in urban areas. In Chicago, where all this  started, getting anywhere with municipal bureaucracy is impossible. Kafka is the word. Instead of fixing that problem -- like, oh, you know, hiring a few people to answer questions and approve permits of tax payers -- we now have "City Scan." City Scan is now oozing out into other areas in the U.S.: New York, L.A., etc. City Scan would predict where illegal activity might take place.

On the surface, this may seem like a good thing: creative energy and ideas, working together to improve quality of life in the big city. But connect the dots, as us conspiracy watchers do. Agenda 21 comes to mind. Government land grabs across the country; harassing citizens who would go off the grid, if even a little bit. Arresting urban gardeners who grow vegetables in their front yards, or collect rain water. (People have gone to jail for collecting rain water.) Arrested for feeding the homeless.  Tracking, tracking tracking. Nationally, this country is tracking every one of us in increasing and intrusive ways: through the public schools, through our medical histories, even the homeless are being tracked. All of this is done, we're told, to help us. Data gathering is big time profit, and big time agenda setting. "Help" has nothing to do with it.

A Tupelo woman hired earlier this month by a KFC was fired Monday after the franchise owner discovered she’s homeless.

Eunice Jasica has been staying at the Salvation Army lodge since early December after losing her job, her car and her home.

The nonprofit organization requires its residents to seek employment daily and, upon finding it, to pay for lodging and start saving for a place of their own. Jasica said she had been job hunting for months and was relieved to find work on March 11 at the KFC on North Gloster Street.

A document signed by that location’s general manager on March 12 confirms Jasica had been hired to perform “prep work” and would receive a paycheck every two weeks.

But when Jasica reported for duty Monday, franchise owner Chesley Ruff withdrew the job offer upon learning she lived at the Salvation Army.
  Then the excuse was given that, being concerned about  Jasica's age (59) and ability to do the work, the manager wanted to spare her feelings.

National Database of School Children Launched

Yesterday I posted a link to what the UK is doing with their public schools in terms of private corporations. Government plus private industry equals fascism; that's the definition of fascism. Today I come across this item about the public schools in the U.S. This database is funded by Bill and Melinda Gates:
National Database of School Children Launched - Parentalrights.org - Protecting Children by Empowering Parents: Last week the SXSWedu Technology Conference in Austin, Texas, featured a new project that has many educational technology companies very excited – and that has many parents angry and deeply concerned. The project is called inBloom – a massive national database of personal information on public school students – and it is already up and running. Largely funded by the pro-internationalist Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the $100 million project contains information on millions of children to date.

So far, at least 9 states are using or planning to use the system: Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New York, and North Carolina.
But parents in New York are furious that their child’s information is being shared with private companies “to create a national database for businesses that contract with public schools,” according to the New York Daily News.
Note the project's name: 'inBloom.'  The intent is to have the mind call up imagery of spring, new beginnings, growth, happiness -- spring! -- flowers, innocence, joy, children. We make the connections between children and nature, blooming children, growing and being nurtured, just like the flowers.

Data being stored includes identifying information such as name, address, and social security number, along with school grades, attendance, and even information on hobbies, interests, and attitudes toward school.

Scary indeed. And remember all those staged scenarios in UK schools awhile back? There is a connection; all this working towards the molding of the minds.

Jack Reacher Novels: Trickster Conspiracy Theater Frame


Reading a Jack Reacher novel. (Lee Child's series.) Die Trying. Like it. So far. Second Reacher novel I've read. First one was Nothing to Lose. Liked that too -- would have liked it a lot better if not for the end. End was disturbing. SPOILER: Reacher murders people in a pretty terrible way just because...unsure. Yeah, they were scum. Crazy scum. You don't kill on a potentiality.
Anyway. Die Trying. So far, enjoying it. As with the first -- despite the end. Big fan of hard boiled detective outsider type fiction, so discovering the Reacher novels in the staff book exchange bin was a treat. But. One thing I noticed, here, elsewhere, is how "conspiracy theorists" are framed by entertainment culture. Haven't finished Die Trying. Yet. But so far, the racist psychotic sadistic zealots in the novel spew conspiracy theories at the drop of a hat. Detailed, on the mark. Research has been done. Childs has done his homework. So I got to thinking. The conspiracy theories are not without substance. Not at all. What the torturing domestic terrorists believe is true is true. Except. They're believed by dangerous and cruel people who do dangerous and cruel things. So what is the message here? The truth of the conspiracy theories are then not true (or worthy of consideration) because truly crazy characters embrace the truths of these "theories?"
Author Childs politics come through in another way. Through the voice of other characters on the "right side" of things. The FBI. Local police. Average citizens. Even the outsider hero Jack Reacher. All reject the conspiracy rantings of the criminals with tax paying law abiding good citzenship non-racist perspectives. (Throwing in the racist angle adds to the marginalization of "conspiracy theorists" and further demonizes them. As it should. See how that worked? Racist, no one wants to be that. Except for conspiracy nuts.)

No. Haven't finished Die Trying. Will though. Like I said. Big fan of hard boiled pulp type stuff. Adding to the Trickster twisting of conspiracy vibes, is the recent Jack Reacher movie starring Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise, Scientoloigst. Playing an ex-military outsider type. Who, in the books, is described as:

"6'5",
220-250 lbs.,
50" chest
 Dirty-blond
 Ice Blue
3XLT coat, 95 cm. pants' inseam
on the Official Jack Reacher website. Cruise is not any of those things.  Now, haven't read what Childs really thinks, or even the whole book. I could be full of stale cold beans. But so far, the conspiracy theorist framed as psycho killer is an interesting development. Course, this book was written in the late 1990s. Different President, pre-9/11. Just.  Does that matter? Is that fact pertinent? Shrug.

CVS Pharmacy Wants Workers' Health Information, or They'll Pay a Fine | ABC News Blogs - Yahoo!: A new policy by CVS Pharmacy requires every one of its nearly 200,000 employees who use its health plan to submit their weight, body fat, glucose levels and other vitals or pay a monthly fine.

Employees who agree to this testing will see no change in their health insurance rates, but those who refuse will have to pay an extra $50 per month - or $600 per year - for the company's health insurance program. All employees have until May 1, 2014, to make an appointment with a doctor and record their vitals.
It's not "voluntary" if you're forced to pay a fine for refusing to reveal your health stats to CVS.

Sinister Google Glass

The latest slick new thing is here: Google Glass. Already being tested by happy hipster tech types, a mere $1,500.00 is worth the price. But for others, this is scary news.

He says: ‘Say you’re huddled in Starbucks with your spouse and someone next to you is recording your conversation on Google Glass.

Remember, the glasses have no storage capacity so all the information goes directly back to Google’s huge data centres.’

Nick Pickles, of the UK privacy campaign group Big Brother Watch, says Google Glass ‘makes CCTV cameras look trivial . . . the person next to you isn’t just a commuter any more, they’re a Google agent’.

Conspiracy author Jon Rappoport has a lot to say on Google Glass.
For example:
Eric Schmidt, executive chairman of Google, has famously said: “If you have something that you don’t want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn’t be doing it in the first place…and it’s important, for example, that we are subject in the Unite States to the Patriot Act.”

As the NSA captures everything Glass wearers are seeing in real time, Schmidt’s statement will take on added meaning, won’t it? Glass is the Brave New World snitch of snitches.

Us conspiracy Fortean para-political buffs suspect something far more sinister. Gizmodo is so dense they just let this go right over there heads:
The Navy was a little vague on what exactly these bad guys could be, since "adversaries" and "terrorists" covers about anything imaginable on a boat. Indeed, we were told that "There are times when [the Navy will] pay attention to commercial shipping" off the Californian coast, boats that don't bear any indication of belligerence at all.
Pure propaganda, and obvious propaganda at that; they don't even try. Spying drones intruding on our every day lives? Sure, but that's okay:

Drones in vacation spots are an inevitability. The idea of a beachside xanadu conducting unceasing, expensive, militarized robot flights might sound strange, but it isn't. There will be more bases like that at Point Mugu, spreading around the world like sunburn. There will be drones in California, drones in Texas, drones in Paris, all part of the Pentagon's vision of reshaping its military omnipresence around "lily pads"—light, decentralized bases that house specialized forces and, of course, drones.
