Anti Conspiracy Theorists

Anti Conspiracy Theorists:
"I'm not saying that governments don't lie, but a conspiracy like that would have to involve 100's of people. You can't hide something like that."
RESPONSE: "You're absolutely right. I agree with you 100%. It is impossible to totally cover up a conspiracy so massive. That's why I know about it! What you must understand is that they don't have to cover it up totally. Even a bucket that has a few leaks can still do the job of carrying water from here to there! They only need to fool 80% of the public, which isn't hard to do when you control the major networks and newspapers. The 10-20% that do figure it out (and the fewer still who will dare to speak their minds about it) can be very easily marginalized with the propaganda label "conspiracy theorist." The 80% + never take us critical thinkers seriously because they want to be part of the majority. This is known as groupthink. (*Note: When saying "conspiracy theorist", always hold your two hands up as you make sarcastic quote marks with your fingers.)
.
(The Ridicule Trick) "That's ridiculous (as he rolls his eyes). Do you really believe that nonsense?"
RESPONSE: "Can I ask you an honest question?" (Wait for "yes") Do you consider yourself an open minded, critical thinking person - yes or no? (Wait for "yes") Then how can you possibly ridicule an opinion when you haven't even done 10 minutes of research into the matter? That's kind of ignorant don't you think?" (Wait for response.)
. "Not
"Not everything that happens in the world is a conspiracy!"
RESPONSE: "Not everything is a conspiracy, but nor is NOTHING a conspiracy either. Wouldn't you agree that we should evaluate each case independently and with an open mind?" (Wait for response.)

And so on.

Monsanto Cucumbers Cause Genital Baldness -- Immediately Banned in Nova Scotia | The Lapine

Monsanto Cucumbers Cause Genital Baldness -- Immediately Banned in Nova Scotia | The Lapine: A six-month study by AgriSearch, an on-campus research arm of Dalhousie University, has shown that genetically modified (GM) cucumbers grown under license to Monsanto Inc. result in serious side effects including total groin hair loss and chafing in "sensitive areas", leading to the immediate and total ban of sales of all that company's crop and subsequent dill pickles.

The tracking study of 643 men and women in Nova Scotia came about after reports began to surface about bald field mice and the bald feral cats that ate them being discovered by farmers on acreages growing the new crop.

"The bald wild animals raised a huge flag and we immediately obtained subpoenas for the medical records of all 600 plus adults who took part in focus groups and taste tests of the cucumbers by Monsanto in Canada," said Dr. Nancy Walker, Director of Public Health Research at Dalhousie. "Fully 3/4 of the people who ate these cukes had their crotch area hair fall out. This is not a joking matter at all...these people now have hairless heinies."

Let the Trollings Begin! 'CIA Media Infiltration, Operation Mockingbird, & Now Legal Internet Trolls'

From the article on corporate/government internet trolling:
CIA Media Infiltration, Operation Mockingbird, & Now Legal Internet Trolls | Conscious Life News: Last year it was confirmed that the U.S. Military has been manipulating social media by using fake identities to influence conversations and spread pro-American propaganda. It’s called “Online Persona Management Services.” Under the Centcom contract, it allows the creation of up to 10 fake online persona’s, known as “sock puppets,” for every service man or woman working on the program.

Its purpose is to control free speech according to an article that appeared in the Guardian titled Revealed: US spy operation that manipulates social media:

“The project has been likened by web experts to China’s attempts to control and restrict free speech on the internet. Critics are likely to complain that it will allow the US military to create a false consensus in online conversations, crowd out unwelcome opinions and smother commentaries or reports that do not correspond with its own objectives.”

The goal, the article goes on to inform us, is simply "...to counter extremists and enemy propaganda outside of the U.S., saying that it would be unlawful to address U.S. audiences."

Except. 2013 brings us a new law that "...allows the U.S government to legally carry out misinformation campaigns against U.S. citizens."

As the article points out, none of this is surprising, nor, just because the government publicly states a particular program is no longer in play, doesn't mean a thing. It just means that's what they say, not what they do.

TSA Removing Body Scanners: False Flag Preparation?

I think the subtitle to this blog should be "Or am I getting too paranoid?" Yet, my first feeling/thought that came up strong and loud when I came across the news:
TSA removing 'virtual strip search' body scanners - CNN.com: Washington (CNN) -- Airport body scanners that produce graphic images of travelers' bodies will be removed from checkpoints by June, the Transportation Security Administration says, ending what critics called "virtual strip searches."

Passengers will continue to pass through machines that display a generic outline of the human body, raising fewer privacy concerns.

The TSA move came after Rapiscan, the manufacturer of the 174 so-called "backscatter" machines, acknowledged it could not meet a congressional-ordered deadline to install privacy software on the machines.
...was that we will soon see an event in an airport involving guns; possibly a shooting. (Or threat of shooting that, fortunately, did not happen.)A mock domestic or non-domestic terrorist act, whether a lone shooter or something more involved. Though I think a lone shooter is the most likely. So scanners back in place, only even more intrusive -- a new, "improved" version taking even more data from travelers. And in all this, the controversy over gun control (and with it, mental health issues, Big Pharma, and the laws surrounding all that) will continue. Nothing will ever get done; no one ends up being satisfied, not the NRA, not the gun control people, not the left, not the right. But most will think we are, as we flail around in this mad dance.

Activist Post: What You DON'T Say Might be Held Against You

Activist Post: What You DON'T Say Might be Held Against You: It's hard to believe, but yet another entrenched constitutional right is up for debate to be trampled upon: the right to remain silent. This right, in fact, even goes beyond the U.S. Constitution and has become a chestnut of virtue for all: silence is golden. Well, apparently not anymore if the Supreme Court sides for the police in the case of Salinas vs. Texas.

The case stems from a 1992 double-murder where police questioned Genevevo Salinas who was reported to have attended a party of the deceased. After Salinas voluntarily agreed to answer questions of the attending police officers, he refused one question: whether shotgun shells that were found at the scene would match a gun taken from the apartment. Instead, officers would later testify that his body language answered for him:

he 'looked down at the floor, shuffled his feet, bit his bottom lip, clinched his hands in his lap, began to tighten up.' (Source)

Douchebag of The Year 2012 (Along With a Political Rant) From WitchesBrewPress's Blog

A good rant about the ranters from an artist and a blogger "Witchi poo." Couldn't agree more.

Douchebag of The Year 2012 (Along With a Political Rant) WitchesBrewPress's Blog: Now believe it or not, this award does not go to Barack Obama, or Mitt Romney. You would think especially Romney, but no. Let Romney fade away towards much needed obscurity. Actually the douchebag of the year award goes to anyone who caught their panties in a bunch because Romney didn’t win.

That’s right. They know who they are. Those are the ones who went on Facebook, screaming until they are blue in the face, throwing childish temper tantrums all because their man didn’t get the vote. Those who hastily put together online petitions to secede from the rest of the United States all because they didn’t want Obama as president. Those who threatened to leave the U.S. because Obama won a second term. Oh gee, thought you would’ve left by now. Guess you didn’t have enough frequent flier miles. Oh boo hoo fucking hoo.

Paul Ryan Once Again Sponsors the Bill That Would Make It Possible for Women's Rapists to Sue Them

Laura Beck at Jezebel reports on Paul Ryan's latest chiiling clownery.
Paul Ryan Once Again Sponsors the Bill That Would Make It Possible for Women's Rapists to Sue Them: In an unsurprising turn of events, Ryan has signed on as cosponsor to the Sanctity of Human Life Act again. The original bill — which declares that life begins with fertilization, and would give states the right to ban all abortion, even in the cases involving incest, rape, or the life of the mother — thankfully died in Congress in 2011.

But now it's baaaaack, which is scary because not only is the above terrifying, there's all sorts of other creepy shit hidden in this monster. Like, if a woman who was raped in a state that banned abortions went to a state that didn't ban abortions and had an abortion? Her rapist could theoretically sue to stop the abortion from happening, and probably win.

PressTV - US school district votes guns for janitors to protect students

Following the nation's thread of paranoid concern and focus on the wrong issues, another school has voted to arm school personnel.

School board voted to arm custodians. Don't worry, they'll have a "2 day training." Parents were not asked for input. It's not clear from this news item if custodians can opt out; in other words, is this voluntary? Either way, they are required to purchase their own firearms. I assume the training is paid for by the district.

PressTV - US school district votes guns for janitors to protect students: n a message to parents on the school district's website, Superintendent Jamison Grime announced that the school board decided, in a 5-0 vote, to arm staff in order to "substantially enhance and strengthen our security efforts."

According to local reports, school janitors, all men, will buy their own guns. Teachers and others with direct supervision of students, however, will not be armed.

Amid concerns that the decision was made without parental input, Grime further noted that the cleaning staff will not begin carrying guns until they complete a “two-day course” in March.

The Incredibly Insensitive Things The Disconnected Fools Say: Ted Nugent unloads: Gun owners the next Rosa Parks

Ted Nugent unloads: Gun owners the next Rosa Parks: “There will come a time when the gun owners of America, the law-abiding gun owners of America, will be the Rosa Parks and we will sit down on the front seat of the bus, case closed.”

The American Spectator : Joy Behar Does Sharia

One of those can't quite get my mind around this one moments because of the source: conservative-take-back-America-right-wing perspective. But in this, they have good points. While the Republicans are notoriously well, just are, the left (of which I have no problem identifying with) is equally notoriously naive in some areas, including this one.The American Spectator : Joy Behar Does Sharia

Police drug search intrudes on husband's final moments with deceased wife | Deseret News

Police drug search intrudes on husband's final moments with deceased wife | Deseret News: A man says Vernal police disrupted an intimate moment of mourning with his deceased wife of 58 years when they searched his house for her prescription medication without a warrant within minutes of her death.

Barbara Alice Mahaffey died of colon cancer in her bedroom last May. Ben D. Mahaffey, 80, said he was distraught and trying to make sure his wife's body would be taken to the funeral home with dignity, when he says officers insisted he help them look for the drugs.

"I was holding her hand saying goodbye when all the intrusion happened," he told the Deseret News.

And so the fear fueled insanity continues: Utah town makes arming households a top priority

Utah town makes arming households a top priority - Yahoo! News: Officials in a small Utah town want to make sure every head of household has a firearm and knows how to use it, and they want to give school teachers training with guns too. (italics mine)

Spring City Councilman Neil Sorensen first proposed an ordinance requiring a gun in every household in the town of 1,000. The rest of the council scoffed at making it a requirement, but they unanimously agreed to move forward with an ordinance "recommending" the idea.

The council also approved funding to offer concealed firearms training Friday to the 20 teachers and administrators at the local elementary school.

"It sends a statement that criminals better think twice," Sorensen told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "If a teacher would have had a concealed weapon in Sandy Hook, I think the death loss would have been fewer. If sane, trained people had guns, they could have shot back."

Texas school can force teenagers to wear locator chip: judge - Yahoo! News

Scary. But, while this judge ruled in favor of chipping, it's not over yet:

Texas school can force teenagers to wear locator chip: judge - Yahoo! News: SAN ANTONIO (Reuters) - A public school district in Texas can require students to wear locator chips when they are on school property, a federal judge ruled on Tuesday in a case raising technology-driven privacy concerns among liberal and conservative groups alike.

U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia said the San Antonio Northside School District had the right to expel sophomore Andrea Hernandez, 15, from a magnet school at Jay High School, because she refused to wear the device, which is required of all students.

Incredibly Stupid Things the Disconnected Say:Ann Coulter Wants To Publish Names Of Women Seeking Abortions (video) | Americans Against the Tea Party

Ann Coulter Wants To Publish Names Of Women Seeking Abortions (video) | Americans Against the Tea Party: Ann Coulter thinks that if newspapers are going to publish the names of people who have gun permits then they should also publish the names of women who had abortions because “mothers might want to know what other women on their street might be willing to murder a child.”
