Preparedness & Govt. Control - Shows - Coast to Coast AM

Coincidental, or, not, given the recent news items of things to come in May (see post below): Red Cross alert in Chicago, Russian army military games in U.S., nuclear simulations. Preparedness & Govt. Control - Shows - Coast to Coast AM

"Paranoia runs deep . . . " not that there's anything wrong with that.

It's May; must be time for fakery and fear

News items about fake military attacks and drills, as well as warnings and evacuations, all happening in May. One; a "simulated nuclear attack" with exercises in several states, including Oregon:NORAD and USNORTHCOM Conduct ARDENT SENTRY 2012 The other, "anti-terrorism drills" from the Russian army, by invitation of our government. From Intelhub:
In an email to the New American, Cmdr. Wendy L. Snyder, U.S. Defense Press Officer for policy confirmed the reports:

“The Russian soldiers are here as invited guests of the U.S. government; this is part of a formal bilateral exchange program between the U.S. and Russia that seeks to develop transparency and promote defense reform,” Cmdr. Wendy L. Snyder, U.S. Defense Press Officer for policy, told The New American in an e-mail. “This is the first time that American and Russian special operations troops have participated in a bilateral exercise.”

According to Snyder, the exercises — which she said would last about three weeks in all — will serve to train and improve skills related to terror-war fighting. About 20 Russian soldiers will be participating, with most of the training to take place on the Fort Carson, Colorado, Army base and a mountain training area several hours away.

In Chicago, plans are afoot to evacuate residents during the NATO summit. From CBS Chicago:
CHICAGO (CBS) – Is there a secret plan to evacuate some residents of Chicago in the event of major trouble during the NATO summit next month? CBS 2 has uncovered some evidence that there is. It comes from the Milwaukee area branch of the American Red Cross.

CBS 2 News has obtained a copy of a Red Cross e-mail sent to volunteers in the Milwaukee area.

It said the NATO summit “may create unrest or another national security incident. The American Red Cross in southeastern Wisconsin has been asked to place a number of shelters on standby in the event of evacuation of Chicago.”

piglipstick: Did You Know It's Now Illegal To Protest The Obama Mob?

Piglipstick shares this chilling news item:piglipstick: Did You Know It's Now Illegal To Protest The Obama Mob?

H. R. 347 makes protest of any type potentially a federal offense with anywhere from a year to 10 years in federal prison, providing it occurs in the presence of elites brandishing Secret Service protection, or during an officially defined 'National Special Security Event' (NSSE). NSSEs , ( an invention of Bill Clinton) are events which have been deemed worthy of Secret Service protection, which previously received no such treatment. Justified through part of 'Presidential Decision Directive 62 in 1998; Bill Clinton created an additional class of special events explicitly under the authority of the U.S. Secret Service.

Visual Aids: When Teachers Go Crazy

Two little news items about teachers being inappropriate with visual aids. The first, a college professor in the UK speaks to colleagues:Professor Depicts Blood-Dripping Knife, Machine-Gun, While Talking Population Control :
A video has popped up showing University College’s Emeritus Professor John Guillebaud, patron of the UK-based “Population Matters”, standing before a screen depicting among other things a machine-gun, a hospital bed, and a knife dripping with blood, as examples of “natural” population control as opposed to “artificial” methods such as contraception and family planning.

The professor also impressed upon his audience to hide the true nature of their efforts by never ever using the phrase “population control.”

Guillebaud gave the lecture on October 14 2010 in front of a group of scientists at Cambridge University’s Triple Helix Society. On the top of the screen of Guillebaud’s slide show we read the words: “guide to “population control” methods”, showing on the one hand a contraception pill, which is described as an artificial method of population control.

Interesting juxtaposition with another news item of the shop teacher who lined up his students and fired blanks at his students. The above article is full of hyperbole and right wing "global warming what global warming?" and anti-intellectual and academic opinions. However, the symbolism is interesting in both cases.

In another item, a teacher in Virginia told his students to line up, then fired shots (blanks).
A Virginia teacher has been charged with 12 felony counts after allegedly pulling a blank firing gun on his students and firing several times.

"One for each student who was in there. And basically the charges result of inciting fear into the students," Washington County Sheriff Fred Newman told KSDK.com.

The incident occurred just days after the five-year-anniversary of the Virginia Tech shootings, during which 32 people were shot by a mentally ill student.

The Kingsport Times reports that Manuael Ernest Dillow, 60, was teaching a welding glass at an Abingdon, Virginia, vocational school when he reportedly "gathered" the attention of his students by forcing them to line up.

Many ways from many directions to keep us as food for the gods. This is one more, and all under the lie that it's for our protection.
Coupe Snoop: Congress Wants All Cars to be Equipped with Recording Devices :: Senate Bill 1813 calls for the installation of mandatory recorders and communication devices in Americans’ cars that could connect the whereabouts and actions of the country’s drivers with whomever the government wants to grant access to.

It doesn’t stop there, though — another provision in the proposed bill will give the government the power to revoke passports from Americans behind on their taxes, essentially making it impossible for the indebted to escape the country.

American Police State: Officer May be Fired for Protecting Young Man from Police Brutality :
Officer Regina Tasca’s ordeal started back in April of last year when she turned on her dashboard camera before attempting to stop two officers from brutally beating a 22-year-old emotionally disturbed man.

It was just a matter of days after Tasca stepped in to defend the helpless man that she was informed she was being suspended without pay. One year later and she is still suspended and awaiting her internal trial. According to WPIX, the Bogota Police Department is looking to see her fired.

piglipstick: Fascism Means Everything You Do Is Suspicious

Homeland Security continues with its propaganda; preparing us for the fascist state. Lots of markers to look for in your friends, neighbors and co-workers that suggest suspicious behavior and terrorist connections. piglipstick: Fascism Means Everything You Do Is Suspicious New Jersey's “Terrorism Awareness and Prevention: Participant Guide” pamphlet lists dozens of behaviors that good citizens need to be on the watch for. Being tired, yawning, watching the clock: suspicious. But if you're energetic, out of breath, jittery: suspicious. Questioning or refusing to follow directions (whose directions are questioned, and reasons for refusal in following directions are not made clear): suspicious. Drawing or sketching places "not of usual interest" whatever that means: you get the idea.

The Making of a Rampage Murderer: What the Brutal Life of Oakland Shooter One L. Goh Says About America | | AlterNet

The Making of a Rampage Murderer: What the Brutal Life of Oakland Shooter One L. Goh Says About America | | AlterNet: "[one can] ...assume that these mass-shootings at American schools and workplaces have always been with us.

It’s not true, of course — as I wrote in my book Going Postal: Rage, Murder and Rebellion — it’s an exclusively American phenomenon specific to our time. The first post office rampage killing took place in Edmond, Oklahoma, in the mid-1980s, at the height of the Reagan Revolution’s war on the American worker.

Those post office massacres quickly migrated into private workplace massacres by the end of the 1980s, where they’ve become a regular rhythmic staple of our murder culture ever since – and from the adult workplace, the massacres migrated to our schools."

We’ve had mass-killings before; and every now and then, you’ll read about a rampage killing in some other country. But only in America, and only since the mid-1980s, do American employees attack their own workplaces and offices, and middle-class students attack their own schools, with such consistency, year after year.

Work 'til you drop: Why lunch is No Longer Required in California

Why lunch is No Longer Required in California
In a case that affects thousands of businesses and millions of workers, the California Supreme Court ruled Thursday that employers are under no obligation to ensure that workers take legally mandated lunch breaks.

The unanimous opinion came after workers’ attorneys argued that abuses are routine and widespread when companies aren’t required to issue direct orders to take the breaks. They claimed employers take advantage of workers who don’t want to leave colleagues during busy times.

The case was initially filed nine years ago against Dallas-based Brinker International, the parent company of Chili’s and other eateries, by restaurant workers complaining of missed breaks in violation of California labor law.

But the high court sided with businesses when it ruled that requiring companies to order breaks is unmanageable and that those decisions should be left to workers. The decision provided clarity that businesses had sought regarding the law.

Court: TSA, not passengers, deserves privacy

Oh it's a dark deep Orwellian world: Court: TSA, not passengers, deserves privacy (the site is appears to be an ultra right ultra conservative xian site, but you know, don't kill the messenger ...)

A federal appeals court has rejected claims by passengers and pilots that the TSA invaded their privacy and violated their rights by demanding pat-down inspections or full-body scans.

The decision affirms a district court ruling from Judge Henry H. Kennedy Jr., who cited a “secret” order from the TSA as the reason he rejected the cases.

The government, insisting that the “secret” order contains “sensitive security information,” has refused to make public the document outlining the procedures, according to John Whitehead, president of the Rutherford Institute.

Naomi Wolf: How the US Uses Sexual Humiliation as a Political Tool to Control the Masses | Common Dreams

Naomi Wolf on U.S. strip searching ruling:How the US Uses Sexual Humiliation as a Political Tool to Control the Masses | Common Dreams
I interviewed the equivalent of TSA workers in Britain and found that the genital groping that is obligatory in the US is illegal in Britain. I believe that the genital groping policy in America, too, is designed to psychologically habituate US citizens to a condition in which they are demeaned and sexually intruded upon by the state – at any moment.

The most terrifying phrase of all in the decision is justice Kennedy's striking use of the term "detainees" for "United States citizens under arrest". Some members of Occupy who were arrested in Los Angeles also reported having been referred to by police as such. Justice Kennedy's new use of what looks like a deliberate activation of that phrase is illuminating.
